چکیده
Impatiens bokorensis, a new species of family Balsaminaceae from Phnum Bokor National Park in southwestern Cambodia, is described and illustrated. The species is similar to Impatiens patula, but is readily distinguished by the orbicular-obovate dorsal petal, shorter pedicels and larger seeds.

Repellency and toxicity of three Impatiens species (Balsaminaceae) extracts on Myzus persicae Sulzer (Homoptera: Aphididae)
The extracts of Impatiens noli-tangere, I. parviflora and I. glandulifera (Balsaminaceae) were evaluated for their effect on green peach aphid (Myzus perssicae), an important insect pest of many plants. All the extracts showed insecticidal and repellent activity. After 54 h of exposure, the most active extract was Impatiens parviflora with 99.7 and 90.0 % mortality at 0.5 and 0.1 % concentratio...

متن کاملA combined chloroplast atpB–rbcL and trnL-F phylogeny unveils the ancestry of balsams (Impatiens spp.) in the Western Ghats of India
Only a few Impatiens spp. from South India (one of the five centers of diversity for Impatiens species) were included in the published datum of molecular phylogeny of the family Balsaminaceae. The present investigation is a novel attempt to reveal the phylogenetic association of Impatiens species of South India, by placing them in the global phylogeny of Impatiens based on a combined analysis o...
متن کاملSeedling traits, plasticity and local differentiation as strategies of invasive species of Impatiens in central Europe
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Invasiveness of some alien plants is associated with their traits, plastic responses to environmental conditions and interpopulation differentiation. To obtain insights into the role of these processes in contributing to variation in performance, we compared congeneric species of Impatiens (Balsaminaceae) with different origin and invasion status that occur in central Europe...
متن کاملPhylogenetic utility of the AP3/DEF K-domain and its molecular evolution in Impatiens (Balsaminaceae).
APETALA3 (AP3)/DEFICIENS (DEF) is a MADS-box transcription factor that is involved in establishing the identity of petal and stamen floral organs. The AP3/DEF gene lineage has been extensively examined throughout the angiosperms in order to better understand its role in floral diversity and evolution. As a result, a large number of cloned AP3/DEF orthologues are available, which can be used for...
